Doily Card ~ Atlantic Hearts + Double Trouble

Welcome to a combo challenge! Our Design Team at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is joining with Double Trouble for this fun challenge.

All you have to do is use our sketch AND create your own background to qualify for both challenges. Easy Peasy right?! When using our sketch you can rotate, flip, etc. as long as we see the sketch in your project. Just have fun!

I decided to try a technique I've seen recently shared by Becca Whitham. I used our doily thin cut to cut this beautiful large doily. Next I used it as a stencil for my background. Using Lagoon Exclusive Re-inker I tinted the Opaque Texture Paste. I applied it on Harbour Cardstock and love how these two colors compliment each other and the doily works wonderfully as a stencil, too.

The card base comes from our White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack. You get 50 cards and envelopes and it's so nice to have a stash ready for card making! The cardstock layers are Lagoon and Harbour.  The circles were die cut using our Circles Thin Cuts. The small circles are Vellum. I softened the tone of the Vellum by sponging Lagoon Ink on the back of the circle. The flowers were painted using a Water Brush and Re-inker. I put a drop on one of our Acrylic Blocks and painted! Simple and a great look.

The large circle is popped up on Thin  3D Foam to create some dimension. Finishing touches include Gold Thread, Gold Glitter Gems and spatters from a Gold Shimmer Brush. I also painted some shimmer on the flowers.
