Christmas in July ~Color Dare #503 + Double Trouble

Hello and welcome to a joint challenge with Color My Heart Color Dare and Double Trouble Challenge

For this challenge we have a special grid to use for picking your colors and elements for your project. Pick any at least 4 of the blocks in the grid to make any paper craft you like. It doesn't have to be a Christmas/Holiday theme project. Get your creativity going and see what you come up with!

There is a rule you need to follow though. You can't add any extra colors to the grid. We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand you have as long as you can make a very close match. Kind of close doesn't count. If you pick the winter (snowman, snowflakes) or poinsettia blocks be sure to use those images in your project.

I did end up going with a Holiday them for my card. I saw something similar and wanted to create a version of it and this was the perfect time to give it a try!

I used the bottom row of colors (Ballerina, Lagoon & Sapphire) along with the Snowflake block. The specialty paper I used is Dreamy Holographic Paper. As the light hits it the colors change from pink to a dark blue with the lagoon color in between. It's hard to photograph it but check it out in the different photos and you'll see differences in the color.

Another specialty paper I used is Ballerina Glitter Paper for the "falala". This is also hard to photograph as it's a very pale pink. Look closely and you'll see it's a different shade than the White Daisy cardstock and has a pink tint.

I used an old Thin Cut die for the "falala" and an old snowflake embossing folder. The final touch was to add some snowflake sequins that are also holographic and change with the light. A pretty Merry Christmas sentiment was used for the inside and stamped in Sapphire Exclusive Inks.

In these 3 photos you can see the effect of different light on the holographic paper. Honestly, this is the same card! All that has changed is the angle of light!

Now it's your turn to create and share! Which 4 blocks from the grid will you decide to create with? We can't wait to find out!
