Summer Theme Card ~ Color Dare #552

 Welcome to our double challenge! We're teaming up with Double Trouble to create a fun color and summer themed challenge.

Use at least 3 colors seen in our graphic below. Pair that with a summer theme to qualify for Double Trouble. If you also include flip flops you'l get an extra chance in their drawing. 

Make any paper craft you like. When you're ready to join the challenges use the direct links below the graphics photos.

I knew just what stamp set I wanted to use for this double challenge! I love this older set called Writing in the Sand (link below). It creates such a calm feeling, don't you think? Plus by changing the colors you can create all kind of water look from tropical to lake water! 

I started with the Exclusive Ink colors of Bluebird, Capri and Lagoon. The beach is Toffee. The cardstock layers are White Daisy, Toffee and Capri. Keeping it simple, my only embellishment is Clear Shimmer Brush used on the waves. See the close-up below. Don't forget the White Cards and Envelopes Value Pack! It's a great item to have in your stash!

It's hard to show the Clear Shimmer in a photo. If you look closely you can see a bit of it. I've used it on all the white space from the shoreline to the dark blue of the water.
