Embossing Folder Card ~ Color Dare #604

Welcome to our first challenge of June! Time is flying by but the crafting fun continues! For this challenge I did the embossing folder black out technique....again! I just LOVE this technique AND I have the new 3D embossing folder from Stampin' Up so I had to give it a try.

You must use at least 3 of the colors shown in the graphic. There are some free colors that you can also use if you like. Be sure to check the graphic for the fine print rules.

Make any paper craft you like. Make sure your colors are a very close match. Kind of close doesn't count. When you're ready to join our challenge click here.

This card was inspired by fellow demonstrator, Lisa Stenz.

For this technique I used Blending Brushes to create a background with Rosy, Jade and Limeade ink. Then it was time to emboss. The key here is to put the color side down when you emboss. This will create the indented side on the colored side.

Once embossed I took my well inked black stamp pad and rubbed it all over the cardstock. The high parts take on the black ink with the indented parts stay in color. There might be some indented parts that pick up a bit of black but that's ok.

Now it's time to finish the card with a sentiment. No other embellishment is needed. Just let those beautiful colors shine!
