Snowflake Card ~ Atlantic Hearts Sketch 601

Welcome to our sketch challenge for this week. Each Monday Atlantic Hearts gives you a new sketch to get you started. You take it from there with your theme, colors, images, etc. You can flip, flop, twist and turn the sketch....we just need to be able to see it in your design.

The sketch goes live on Monday and our blog opens on Wednesday for entries.

For my project I went a bit out of the box with colors. I love this pattern from the Winter Meadow pack. From here I added some Tartan Foil paper from my stash and doubled the snowflake with two layers. The bottom is white shimmer paper and the top is the Tungsten color from the Textured Metallic pack. It's hard to see in the photos but the metallic paper has a nice metallic shimmer to it. The photo doesn't do it justice at all.

Some silver ribbon and gems complete the look of a shimmery winter woods. I love going with non-traditional colors for Christmas cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Why not give our sketch challenge a try? It's a lot of fun to see all the different interpretations of our sketch. We can't wait to see yours.
