Sassy Birthday Card ~ Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 643

Are you ready for a new sketch challenge? Our team at Atlantic Hearts has one all ready for you! Do what you like with the sketch. We just need to be able to see it in your project. Our sketch goes live on Monday and the blog opens for entries on Wednesday. Have fun! 

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for this sketch. The pattern on the strips was throwing me off a bit. Then I had a light bulb moment and remembered the Open Weave Trim that would create that kind of pattern if I overlayed it onto the cardstock. 

My strips of cardstock are cut to 1-1/4" x 3-3/4". The white layer is 4" x 5-1/4. To adhere the trim to the back of the cardstock I used our Tear & Tape Adhesive. This works very well for securing the trim to the back. the sentiment is popped up on Dimensionals which also helps secure the Trim to the cardstock.

Because of all the gold, I went with a dark ink for the sentiment. I thought about gold embossing but decided that would be too much gold. I'm glad I went with the Pretty Peacock ink.

This is the inside of the card. I kept it simple by using a scrap of the dark cardstock behind the white layer. 

What a fun stamp set this one is! I love all these sentiments, especially the sassy ones. That's just me. At least my family and friends aren't offended by a little sass.
