Hello! Welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing a card made for the Color Dare Challenge. The design was inspired by Stampernan.com and I couldn't wait to make it!
The color challenge for this is to use both of the colors shown in our graphic seen below. Thrre are some Free colors you can use with the 2 if you like. What you can't do is add extra colors beyond that. When you're ready to join our challenge use the direct link below the graphic.
With all the black & white of this design I added my colors by splattering the background with Pretty Peacock and stamping the sentiment in Melon Mambo. Very simple and minimal but it's a nice contrast to the black & white. I know it's hard to see the color of the splatters, but trust me they are a subtle contrast to the black.
To get the splatters I took my Stampin' Blend marker and tapped it against an acrylic block held over the card front.
After the splatters were done I added the ie cut gears. The die cuts give a nice texture vs just stamping the gears. Once the sentiment was stamped I added a couple of black gems for the finish!
Oh.... the lines for the light bulbs was hand drawn.

Very cute with all the gears - interesting way to incorporate the two required colours :)
