Today's project is one that popped up on my feed and I felt it was a good reminder of an easy technique. It just proves that techniques come and go but are always useful! I made this layout 10 years ago!
The technique refers to the squares of color on the right side of the layout. I took the blue from her shirt and added pink because it's her favorite color.
On an acrylic block I used watercolor based markers to create a a random pattern. Then I spritzed with water and stamped! Easy peasy! I cleaned the block and did it again and agin to create my pattern.
This was created back in my days with Close To My Heart, which has now closed. But you can create the same look with our Stampin' Up! inks, too! Just make sure you use watercolor markers on your block. OR, you can create a similar look using reinkers and a wet wipe. You make a puddle pad with drops of ink on the wet wipe. Then use this as your stamp pad. Ink the block then stamp.
