Color Dare #237 ~ Lagoon, Tangerine, Thistle with White

It's Friday so the Design Team at Color My Heart has a new palette to challenge you. This week we're asking you to create with Lagoon, Tangerine, Thistle and White. Please do not add any new colors to this palette. However, if you don't have the exact colors listed you may substitute something close. 

I really loved a card created by Jody Gustafson and felt this would be a great color dare to put my spin on it. Thanks for the inspiration Jody.

I stamped a background on the card front above the line where the papers would be. On scrap cardstock I stamped the large flower and some leaves. Notice the striped effect on the leaves? To get that effect I inked the leaf on the stamp pad then wiped it across the pad before stamping. It creates a really nice effect so give it a try! Assembly was easy and I ended up with this really cute card!

Color Dare #207 ~ Saffron, Canary, Gold + White Daisy

Yea it's Friday! Everyone love Friday! One reason to love Friday is it's time for a new color dare from the Design Team at Color My Heart!

This week we're going with a monochromatic theme by using yellows with gold and white. Here I've stamped some leaves and popped a flower for a 3D effect. The diagonal stripe paper is from the new Enchantment Fundamentals pack! Love those new Fundamentals! The card is quick and easy and called for a bit of bling to finish it off!

Color Dare #156 ~ Goldrush, Hollyhock & Kraft + Colonial White

It's Friday and that means a new Color My Heart color dare! This week the colors are Hollyhock and Goldrush paired with Kraft and Colonial White. So I got to work and here is what I created!

I stamped a little garden of flowers in 1st and 2nd generation inks. Then I layered in on some Kraft cardstock layers with Paper Fundamental paper in between. I couldn't decide if I liked the Hollyhock or Goldrush Fundaments better than the other....so I used them both! I split the layer and used each color on half of that layer. You can see I used the tone on tone side with the glossy pattern. The other side has the same pattern but with white. 

I also used the Triangle Border Punch and backed it with Coral Shimmer Trim. Next was some sequins from the retiring Coral Reef pack and Bitty Sparkles. Viola! It was done!

Seasonal Expressions 2 Blog Hop

I so love the card on page 11 in Seasonal Expressions 2 I just had to recreate it! You know that's what the samples are for, right?!!! Anyway, this is my version and even though its not exactly the same it was fun to make. Thats the great thing about stamping. You can make any changes you like!

I only had to cut out the 2 main flowers. The rest was stamped on the strip of White Daisy cardstock. 

This one is my own creation. This little flower made me think of some I've seen in gardens. I have no idea what it's called as I am definitely NOT a gardener.
