Hello! Today I'm sharing another project for our August Team Challenge. This challenge is to create a project with a Winter or Snow theme. Since I just got my order from our upcoming September Online Exclusives I was all set to create for this theme!
I love using blues with snow/winter. Misty Moonlight is such a pretty shade of blue and pairs well with white and the glittery accents I've used.
I knew I wanted to use our Shimmery White Embossing Paste for the snowflakes so I used several of the dies to create a stencil. This time I used cardstock for the stencil but I think I'll make a new one using a piece of window plastic to make it last.
The image is simply stamped in Misty Moonlight ink in die cut circle. This circle is then layered on a die cut Glimmer paper a bit larger. Because it's harder to stick anything to glimmer paper I popped up the white circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. It sticks well and adds dimension.
The addition of a bow and some Rhinestones finished the look. The photo doesn't really do it justice.
This is the stencil I created. Using a palette knife all you have to do is smear a bit of the embossing paste across the openings of the stencil. Scrape off the excess and gently peel up the stencil. Now you have a pretty, sparkly embossed image. Just let it dry for a bit then add to your project. It's a great way to accent your other details.
A few more fun supplies to use:
Do you like this look? I love all the shimmer achieved in different ways! Thanks for stopping by!
