Lovely Tree!

I can't get enough of this tree set. It's called Always Grateful and has 3 gorgeous tree images that work for any season!

Here I've created a card for the Color My Heart Dare: Smokey Plum, Goldrush & Olive. It's a beautiful color combo, don't you think?  Check it out.




There are no layers on this card. First I made a mask to cover the outer edges of the card front. The bottom mask had a curved edge so it would look like snow drifts. Next I sponged Goldrush and Smokey Plum inks for a background, leaving a bright spot for a setting sun. The tree is stamped in Smokey Plum and the message (from Holiday Tags) is stamped in Olive. Finally, I lightly smeared some Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel for a glistening snow effect. I love how this turned out!

    Beautiful card, loving this technique and the results people are having. Also love one layer cards, I sometime think they are more of a challenge.

    I understand Becca's comment! I saw it on Color MY Heart while drinking a glass of tea, had to swallow fast, and said out loud, "ooh, that's pretty!" Maybe there needs to be a warning label when something will take your breath away or make you choke on your tea!

    Truly a lovely tree! Your masking and sponging is perfect, and the added sparkle for 'snow' is absolutely perfect and really finishes the card.
