Color Dare # 149 ~ Ruby, Outdoor Denim + Kraft & Colonial White

Welcome to this week's Color My Heart color dare. Each Friday the Design Team inspires with a new color combination. Create anything you like....just use the colors for that week. If you don't have those exact colors just use something close.

This week the colors are Ruby, Outdoor Denim and Colonial White. I started with a Colonial White card base (4.25" x 5.5"). We have a great deal with our Value Pack! You get 50 cards and envelopes for only $14.95 and you have a choice of White Daisy or Colonial White!

I created a background of Ruby and Outdoor Denim lines by Block Stamping.  Using the edge of a 2" x 6.5" My Acrylix block I just tapped it on the ink pad then stamped it on the card base. For the flag I also used the block idea. I inked up a 2" x 2" block in Outdoor Denim and stamped it on a piece of Colonial White cardstock. For the Ruby stripes I inked up the edge of a block but this time leaned it a bit to catch more ink. Then I placed it on the cardstock and pulled it down a bit to get a wider line. All that was left to do was stamp a message, add some flowers and put some bling in the flowers centers and flag.

  3. Michelle, I love the contrast between the distressed look of the flag and the crispness of the flowers. Very pretty!
