Bright & Bold ~ Color Dare 322

Open through December 31, 2018

This is a challenge where you pick your own bold and bright colors to create any paper craft you like. I'm getting ready for some January birthdays so this seemed like a perfect combo to work with. I went to my Love of Color book for some color inspiration. In the back there is an alphabetical index of all the colors. When you get to the color pages you'll find color suggestions in 3, 4 & 5 combinations! I started out looking up Lemon. I found Raspberry and Bluebird were suggested in the 3 color combo. Perfect! I got busy stamping, paper cutting and assembling. I finished my cake with some Clear Shimmer Brush, texture paste and added some twine. But my favorite is the fringe at the bottom made with a die in the Decorative Borders Thin Cuts. For the sentiment inside I inked the stamp in Lemon then inked the top and bottom in the other two colors before stamping.

  1. Love the combination of colors and that you used them on the inside of your card too. Yummy looking cake, especially that frosting.

  2. Love that you used the so much fun for a birthday card. The fringe is such a cute touch.

  3. I love that you used 3 colours in one Happy Birthday stamp. Very Bright and cheerful.

  4. Such a cheerful card! The embellishments really add a lot to it, too.

  5. You must have that cake recipe down pat...and thanks for the previous one that gave us directions on the layers. And are you sure you didn't put real frosting on top? Thanks for sharing your card with Double Trouble, and by the way you were the random draw winner last challenge and we need to hear from you for an address.
