August Technique Hop ~ Sparkle and Shine ~ Shadow Box

Welcome aboard the August Technique Hop! this month we're featuring things that sparkle and shine otherwise known as things that put some BLING on your projects!

The hop is one big circle and the person in front of my blog is Terry Metzger. Click the links in each post to go to the next blog on the hop! Sit back and enjoy all the great ideas you're going to see!

For this hop I decided to make a shadow box. It's a lot like making a card or layout just sized to whatever size your shadow box is!

It's hard to photo something with glass and not get some kind of reflection so just bear with me, ok?  This is in a white 5" x 7" frame. I stamped the peacock  and fussy cut it out with some of the extra feathers to create a nice full look. I added some shimmer over the entire bird and feathers plus some gold sequins. Using our Liquid Glass with the Fine Tip Applicator makes adding those tiny sequins so easy! The lettering was done with a Cricut and Cricut Markers. Before adding the peacock to the base I splattered some Gold Shimmer Brush to the background.

I LOVE this stamp set! You can create a beautiful peacock in so many ways. Do the two tone stamping to create a "flat" peacock or use the extra feathers to make it 3D like I did here.
