One of the new stamp sets is this adorable set called Make a Splash. I decided to use the rain boots and a card pattern from our Make It from Your Heart how to book. I love the color Lagoon and pulled the Mint pattern paper from our Mix-in packet for the background and top strip. The boots were stamped in black and colored with a marker. Our Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers have 3 shades of one color in the barrel making it easy to blend colors for just the right look. I added some Mint Shimmer Brush to make a puddle and yes.....it's green. When working with a monochromatic color scheme it's ok to use that color when it isn't the usual color of the image. It would look more odd to have everything in green and then make the puddle blue. For the sparkles I colored them with the same green marker so blend with the rest of the card. Just swirl the marker tip around the top of the sparkle.
