Garden Tags Meets Triangle Technique

There's a fun technique going around right now and this is a card version of it. Most of the time you'll see it on a scrapbook layout but my theory is if you can do it on a layout you can scale it down for a card! It works the same with cards to layouts, too.

I used papers from the Stitched Together paper collection with a couple shades of cardstock for a total of 5 layers in each triangle. You cut the layers slightly smaller after starting with the base piece. You start by cutting a square and then cut that on the diagonal to get your triangle. So as you go along you'll have enough to make 2 cards! For the large triangle the base is a 3" square, medium starts with a 2 3/4" square and the small start with a 1 1/4" square.

The tag was stamped with an image from our June Stamp of the Month called Garden Tags. I used our Thin Cut die called Tangs & Tabs to cut it out along with the "shadow" tag behind it. I image was colored with our TriBlend markers for a nice bright look to go along with the paper colors. At the end I painted the flowers with a Clear Shimmer Brush for some sparkle and added some gems.
