Holiday Cards Blog Hop

Welcome to our Holiday Card Blog Hop! We're the same Maker group that does the Stamp of the Month blog hop each month. This hop is all about getting your Holiday cards made and ready to mail to family and friends.

The blog before mine belongs to Katy Taylor. Click the link in each post to move to the next blog in our hop. It's that easy! Here is a link for a list of all participating Makers.

I had so much fun making these cards! I just want to keep going and design more but thought I'd stop here and share these for now. I made three sets of card using the same paper pack for each set. Let's go!

This set of cards was made with the Jingle Joy paper packet, Jingle Joy-Scrapbooking + Thin Cuts stamp set and Garden Gnomes + Thin Cuts stamp set. I started with our White Cards an Envelopes Value Pack for the card bases which makes card making very economical! Inks used were: Raspberry, Evergreen, Flamingo and Intense Black. Glitter Paper, thin 3D Foam Tape, bitty Sparkles and Black Stickles embellishments. to color the gnome I used these TriBlend Marker colors: Ice Grey Blend, Fair Skin, Alpine Green and Bright Pink Shades.

This set of cards is slimline size of 3" x 6". The card base was made from French Vanilla cardstock, matted with Sapphire CS and topped with paper from the Serenity paper packet. The top card looks a bit washed out because I was trying to make the bottom card brighter. The photo really doesn't do much justice to either, to be honest. Anyway, Stacked Noel is an M size stamp set, inked in Sapphire Pigment and clear embossed. Accents are Gold Foil paper, gold thread and gold rush Stickles. The bottom card is stamped with the Comfort  & Joy-Cardmaking stamp stamp set. Blue Belle and Sapphire inks. The star is an image from the set and then colored in with the Antique Bronze Metallic Marker with a Bitty Sparkle for the center.

This third set was done in a more traditional color scheme of read and greens.  Both cards use our Value Pack bases and envelopes along with the Comfort & Joy paper packet. Inks used: Candy Apple and New England Ivy. Cardstock: White Daisy, Black and Candy Apple. Stamp Sets: Comfort & Joy-Cardmaking + Thin Cuts, Comfort & Joy-Scrapbooking + Thin Cuts. Stickles Carnation Red Pearls added for the corner dots and for the holly.
The card on the right was inspired from a card made by Gail Gross. The scalloped edge was made using a die from our Thin Cut Fancy Borders set. It's lined with some Gold Glitter paper. A journal pen was used for the doodle edges and Gold Glitter Gem for the flower center. Golden Rod Stickles adds some dots around the flower spray.
