It's time of our popular Tic Tac Toe Challenge at Color Dare! Pick your color from the grid by row, column or diagonal. After that you can use some or all of the colors in the grid. See the graphic for the fine print.
We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand you have as long as you can make a very close match. Kind of close doesn't count. Make any paper craft you like. When you're ready to join the challenge use this link to go directly to the challenge on our blog.
I was inspired by a card made by Althea Reeves. It's simple in design and has real versatility in using papers and other items.
I used the middle row of colors: Sapphire, Honey Butter and Linen for my card. Using a card base from our White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack and a piece of pattern paper from the Flower Shop Pack I got busy. The Sapphire strip you see along the inside edge of the floral paper is actually the Zip Border for that paper. I left it on the paper when I cut it. I did trim it down a bit from it's 1/2" width.
The Cardstock for this layer is Linen and created a bit of a contrast to the white base. I inked the sentiments and edges with Sapphire Exclusive Inks to give a bit more contrast. The sentiment is from the Life's a Hoot stamp set and the inside sentiment is from the Perfectly Imperfect stamp (retired). The cute embellishments are from the Woodgrain Die-cut Flowers, Blue Dots and Freshly Baked Dots.
I love the look this design creates. SO many possibilities! I'm sure I'll be using this design over and over!
