Pretty Floral Cards

I love sharing and teaching some tips and tricks along the way! This post shows how fun it is to do the same design with very different looks! Just by changing out a couple things you get a totally new feel!

The pink card was the one I made first and I love it. Then CTMH came out with the current Joy of the Journey Special and I just HAD to remake the card in Journey! I admit I love them both but the Journey card is my favorite of the two.

The cards both use the vase of flowers image from the Heartfelt Flowers set (link below). I paper pieced the vase after I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Color Pencils were used to color the flowers for a pretty and soft look.

For the Journey card I used the same pattern paper for the background.  I changed out the pink cardstock for Journey. Wow what a difference it created! This time I paper pieced the vase after stamping on pattern paper. The layer behind the vase was embossed with the Swiss Dot folder. I used the back of the piece (where the dots go in) this time.

So there you have it! Two different cards that use most of the same products. Play around with your colors, papers, embellsihments and see how you can change this up a little....or a lot! See below for a list of products used for the cards.

The Joy of the Journey Special includes exclusive items just for this Special! Cardstock, stamp set, sticker sheet and pattern papers all add up to a wonderful mix of fun! You can get it at the sale prices in a bundle or as individual items.  Buy early because I think this will fly off the shelves!
