Brushed Blog Hop

We have a fun special going on right now! It's called Bring Back My Pack and this time features the Brushed paper pack. This beautiful pack comes in bundles or as individual items. Either way I know you'll find things you really want!

Since this is a blog hop you'll find all kinds of inspiration from out talented consultants. The blog before mine belongs to Darlys Recker. Click the link in each post to go to the next blog.

With all the pretty pinks and greens in the patterns I had just the right photo to scrap! I also wanted to use one of the fun layouts from our Cricut Everyday Moments Collection. This makes  scrapbooking very easy and you end up with a well put together layout!

NOTE: Clicking in the top right column will take you directly to the Cricut site featuring ALL the Close To My Heart collections both current AND retired! From there you can also access all other Cricut products, too! I'm an affiliate and purchases through this link include compensation.

Since the pattern papers were being used for the stars I wanted them to be seen and not lost on the page. To make the colors pop I used a sheet of black cardstock for my base. Look at how those colors stand out against the black!

Once the Cricut cuts were done all I had to do was glue the stars to the back of the star outline and the title to the backing. . I told you it was easy! When the page was assembled I added some stickers from the pack, gold sequins and gold thread. A bit of journaling and the page was done!

Everyday Life Layout ~ Color Dare #398

Welcome to another of our very popular Tic Tac Toe Color Dare Challenges! You pick your colors by either row, column or diagonal. After that if you want to use some of the other colors in the grid you can. Black, White, Gold and Silver are free to use. What you can't do is add new colors to the grid.

We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand you have as long as you can make a very close match! Kind of close doesn't count. Make any paper craft you like and link to our Color My Heart Color Dare home page using the Linky tool at the end of the post.

For my layout I used the bottom row: Peach, Sapphire, French Vanilla then added Mint, Sweet Leaf and Smoothie.  This pattern is from our Everyday Moments Cricut Collection and very easy to do! There are cut-outs for all the pieces and you just have to adhere the colored piece on top. I did adjust the design a bit to fit my photos but that's what scrapbooking is all about!

Hey did you know I'm a Cricut affiliate now? Click on the Cricut icon in the upper right and it will take you to ALL the Close To My Heart Cricut Collections both current AND retired! From there you can also access anything Cricut!

The Sweet Life Layout ~ Color Dare #397

Yea, it's Friday! That means a new challenge from the Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare! This week we're using the colors in an inspirational photo for our challenge. Pick colors you see IN the photo to create any paper craft you like. You can also use Black, White and Neutrals but do not add any other colors to the palette.  So look closely at the photo because I didn't see the touch of green along the top at first! But remember, don't add colors not in the photo!

I've been catching up on my scrapbooking lately and decided these photos were perfect for this challenge. My granddaughter is about 8 years older now than in the photos but that doesn't matter. She loved being outside and playing in her little pool. With Pa home to play with us things were even more fun.

I used our Close To My Heart Cricut collection called Everyday Moments. This is a collection of layouts and cards that you can size to whatever you like. As the title says, it covers all kinds of everyday events. This is sized to 12" x 12". The fruit slices were actually easy to do. All you have to do is glue the  cut pieces to the back of the white cut out. After that it's ready to glue to the base. I didn't use a couple of the design features because it didn't fit with my photos. That's the great part about scrapbooking.....making it your own!

By the way..... did you know I'm a Cricut affiliate now? You can get Everyday Moments by clicking the link at the top right of the page! One click and it will bring you to ALL the Close To My Heat Cricut Collections, both NEW and RETIRED! From there you also have access to ALL things Cricut!

The only embellishment I used was to add some sequins. The journaling was done on the white strips.  It may not look like it but it's a very easy layout to put together!
