Fancy Fold Card

I recently joined a team event where we made some Fancy Fold Cards and I'd like to share them with you. Here is the first one, a Front Corner Fold.

It's not as complicated to make as it looks. A few scored lines and folds in the right places gets you to this really fun look. I've included the directions below.

There are so many ways to create a different look just by changing the paper, stamps, etc. Experiement and have fun!

Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the September Joyful Stars Blog Hop. We have some really fun things to share with you this month so sit back and enjoy!

Since this is a hop all you have to do is click on the links in each post to go on to the next blog. If you've come from Marie Flayer's blog you're on the right track. This is an anything goes hop so the ideas will vary and show you different things to do with your craft supplies!

I think Fancy Fold style cards are fun and really have an impact. They can look challenging but in fact can also be simple to make! This is one of the simple to make Fancy Folds! I shared a card using this fancy fold earlier this month. Here is the same fold style with different papers and colors. Can you say WOW! Just changing the colors or papers can have a really big impact! Click here to see the other card.

It's kind of like making two cards and slipping them together. Here are the dimensions I used:
Base: 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" scored at 5 1/2"
small layer: 3" x 7 3/4" scored at 4"
Pattern paper for base: 2 3/4" x 4"
Pattern paper for front of small layer: 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Pattern paper for inside of small layer: 2 3/4" x 7 1/2"

After the cutting it's just a matter of stamping your images and putting the layers together. I told you this was an easy one!

Oh one other thing.... the heart was cut from white glitter paper and colored with one of our ShinHan markers to make it go with the colors of my card!

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop ~ Flock Together

Hello and welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring Flock Together. Does this set make you think of the long ago TV show called The Partridge Family? Or am I just dating myself? LOL Anyway, this cute partridge family is way too cute to pass up!

Since this is a blog hop all you have to do is keep clicking the link at the end of each post to go on to the next blog! It's a big circle so you can hop on and off at any point! If you've come from Alyson Mayo's blog you're on the right path!

My first thought with this set was to make a Double Fold Z card. I paired it up with the Dreamin' Big papers and it turned out very cute even if I say so myself! This really is an easy card to make. Here are the cutting and scoring dimensions:
Cut:
-Main card base 4 1/4 X 11"
-Small card base 1 1/2 X 11"
-Main card panels: 2 @ 4 X 2 1/2", 1 @ 4 X 5 1/4",
-Small card panels: 2 @ 1 1/4", 1 @ 1 1/4  X 5 1/4"

Score:
-Main card base: score at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2"
-Small card base: score at 2 3/4 X 5 1/2"

Now the way the Stamp of the Month program works is that the featured stamp set is only available during the month it's featured. Then it's gone.....gone....gone! So Flock Together will be available from April 1-30, 2017. You can buy it for the retail price of $17.95 OR get it for only $5 with a qualifying purchase! Details are on my website.

All products are Close To My Heart:
  • Stamp Set: Flock Together (available April 1-30, 2017
  • Dreamin' Big paper pack
  • Cardstock: Sea Glass, White Daisy, Poppy
