Fun Card ~ Color Dare #559

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy to make card using colors found in our Inspirational Photo.  The papers come from our current Special: Memory Lane (available through August while supplies last). You're going to love the papers, colors and stamp set in this special! You can get individual products OR bundles that are priced at a discount.

I chose the pretty floral pattern for my background. Then using stickers from the package and the stamp set I created a quick sentiment layer that is popped up with foam tape. I also doodled around the edge to create a bit more separation from the background. A bit of shimmer was painted on the heart to make it shine! Some more stickers were used as banners and a couple of sparkles later the card was finished! I did say it was quick and easy!

Hint: take the sticky off the back of the stickers with the Anti Static Pouch.

For my card I decided to pair Pewter with Sundance. It's not my usual to9 use a yellow but it's good to push beyond the envelope at times. With an inspiration from a card made by Christine Adams, I am sharing this card.

It's very simple in design and that's what makes the impact! Using the bright color of Sundance with the softer Pewter really makes things pop!

Dream Maker Card ~ Color Dare #547

 Welcome to a fun color challenge from our Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare! This challenge is all about the colors of the rainbow! Use at least 3 colors seen in a rainbow. Make any paper craft you like. When you're ready to share use the direct link seen below our graphic.

I love rainbow colors, don't you? Using the Dream Maker Coordinating Cardstock (link below) I created this pretty card. I love how the alternating layers show off the colors and patterns in this cardstock.

The focal layer was cut using the Fancy Stitched Bracket Thin Cuts. The sentiment is actually one stamp but I needed it to be at the top and bottom of that layer. Because our stamps are acrylic it was easy to snip it apart and stamp with it in two pieces. When I want to use it as one stamp I just place the pieces next to each other on the block and viola! 

The Pearl embellishments you see started out as Melon in color. I used the Gold Marker to color it. Be sure to wait for it to dry before placing on your project! I also added some gold to the flower by tracing over the lines on the petals. The flower is popped up with Thin Foam Tape.

Around the flower you see a small stamped leaf from the stamp set. The larger leaves were stenciled with a sponge and Flamingo Ink then fussy cut.

Thank You Card ~ Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Are you ready for a new sketch challenge? Our Design Team at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a fun one for you this week. We show you Design Team ideas on Monday then on Wednesday you can post your project! 

I decided to give you a sneak peek at some papers from our upcoming Dream Maker Special in May. The papers are available now in card making kit under Promotions, but the stamp set isn't available until May.

This sketch is a great way to use up those scraps that seem to be all over our work tables! My strips are 3/4" wide by 5 1/4" long. We ALL have piece this size laying around. The strips could be different width, too, for a different look. 

The flowers are a nice accent to the colorful strips in the background. I added a touch of Gold Marker to the flower centers for a bit of glam.

Parisian Notes Card

Our Stamptacular Sale is coming close to the end! March 31st is the last day to get savings of 35% on stamp sets and 60% savings on stamps + thin cuts! There are also 5 exclusive stamps sets! 

I made a card using the Parisian Notes Stamp set which is one of the Exclusive Stamp Sets for Stamptacular! Isn't it gorgeous?!!! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. But remember, it's only available a few more days!

I started by stamping the image in Intense Black Ink. Since I planned on using our TriBlend Markers to color the flowers I needed an ink that won't bleed. 

Papaya Ink was sponged around the torn edges of the stamped layer. Liquid Pearls in Onyx was used for the flower center. The entire layer was popped up with Thin Foam Tape. Some Gold thread was tucked under the edge.

Papers used are from the Mix-in Pack for April - June. Plus a small strip of Gold Glitter Cardstock and some Gold Glitter Gems carried the theme through.
