CTMH Technique Blog Hop ~ Color Your World

Welcome to the June Technique Blog Hop!
This month we're featuring the technique of coloring! This could be done with watercolors, pencils, ink, water brushes, etc. There are lots of ways to color your images.

If you've come from Catherine Nowak's blog you're on the right track. Just keep clicking on the links at the end of each post.

Here I have used the Darling Dinos stamp set. Isn't this little guy cute? I stamped in Archival Black ink since I would be doing a wet type of coloring. First I used my watercolor pencils to color the dino. After coloring him in I then took a waterbrush and lightly brushed over the penciled area to smooth out and blend the colors. This also helps create the shadow areas. It's hard to see but I also used a bit of grey pencil under the dino. This creates a shadow and grounds the image so it doesn't look like it's floating in the air.

All products are Close To My Heart:
--Darling Dinos stamp set
--White Cards and Envelopes Value Pack
--Watercolor Pencils
--Archival Black ink
--Cardstock: White Daisy, Pear
--Fern Thick Twine
--Waterbrush

If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.

Now it's time to hop over to Hellen Gullet's blog for more inspiration.
