Simple Card ~ Color Dare #384

Every so often it's nice to have a simple card in your stash. It could be a card for either male or female, any occasion or a specific one.  This one has an inspirational message and is bases on a layout example on page 32 of our Core Catalog. It's a good example of using a layout to inspire a smaller one like a card. You fan always find elements from a layout to make a card. Or find elements on a card to use as a start to a design for a layout. It goes both ways because an idea is an idea!

For this challenge our Color My Heart Color Dare Design Team is giving you the palette of GREY and your choice of 2 colors with Black and White being free. I decided to use Sangria and Glacier as my two colors. I love the richness of Sangria and the brighter pop of Glacier really makes a nice combo with the Grey.

As I mentioned I took an idea from page 32 of our Core Catalog. It's the corner was stamped with our  Build-a-Plaid stamp set. It's a nice way to set the stage for the sentiment, don't you think? I stamped the background for the sentiment and then the sentiment itself. Adding a few gems was the finishing touch! Oh, I popped up the top layer with some Thin 3D Foam Tape.

  1. I love how you used the build a plait on the corner of your card. I like how the colours blend well with this stamp set. Great sentiment in the middle too!

  4. I have not yet used my Build a Plaid and I find it so interesting the different ways you have used those stamps without making a plaid...I'm impressed.
