Welcome to our gorgeous National Scrapbooking Month Special! These papers are stunning and something you will want to use on all kinds of projects! The additional products that coordinate are must have items! You have until June 30th but don't wait that long! This is while supplies last so don't be left out!
This is a fun layout and can be a good way to use some of those scraps that accumulate. The patterns and colors of these papers are beautiful and I can't wait to add photos!
The details in the embellishments give a really nice feel to the entire layout. It's the little things that can sometimes make the project shine and this is a good example.
I started by using Kraft cardstock as my base. A piece of White Daisy cardstock comes next and the edges were torn to make an approximate 11" square.
I added my photos and thought I'd share. The Alpacas were so pretty and gentle. It was fun seeing so many of them up close like this.
Here you can see some sponging was done around the page to soften the white. This was done with Papaya
Exclusive Ink and a
Sponge. The edges of the paper strips were also torn keeping the rustic theme going.
For the Doilies the Thin Cut Dies are amazing! I do recommend only cutting one at a time because this helps to keep the little pieces needing to be weeded to a minimum. HINT: one way to help weed larger projects is to use one of those lint rollers. Another way is to flick your finger against the doily to dislodge any pieces.
The edges of the doilies were also sponged with Papaya ink. The large doily was cut at the 4" mark with the small part being used on the right page. The small doilies were cut in half and used on both pages.
The flowers were stamped in
Intense Black ink and colored with
TriBlend Markers (Coral Blend, Dull Green Blend, Gold Yellow Blend, Vintage Blue Blend). On the larger flower a
White Gel Pen was used to accent some of the petals. A dot of Goldfish
Stickles was added for the flower centers. The die cuts for the flowers are wonderful! Some of the flowers are popped up with some
Thin Foam Tape.
The title was stamped in
Harbour ink on
Sage cardstock then die cut. What a help that is. I wouldn't want to fussy cut that detail!
Other embellishments came from the
Hope & Kindness Die Cuts. I also used several of our
Wood Hearts which I doodled on with the White Gel Pen. I also stamped a few hearts from the stamp set. All in all I love how this turned out!
