May Live Beautifully Challenge

As May winds down so does our month long Live Beautifully Challenge. For this special challenge we're asking you to use the colors featured in the Live Beautifully papers. Full details are in the post on the Color My Heart home page.

I decided to make a layout showing the masculine side of this paper pack. About half of the papers are very neutral and work well for masculine projects. This layout is based on one by Jennifer Smith. I've tweaked it a bit though. The colors may be a bit hard to see in the photos because they're on the light side.

All products are Close To My Heart:
  • Live Beautifully paper pack and stamp set (only available May 1-31, 2017)
  • Cardstock: White Daisy, Black
  • Exclusive Inks: Black
  • Black and White Dots
  • Journal Pen
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too.

Now it's your turn to create and share! You don't need the Live Beautifully papers or stamp set to participate. Full details are on our home page

Have a creative day!

May ~ Live Beautifully

How about another idea using the Live Beautifully papers? This time I decided to go in a totally masculine direction with my project. Yes you CAN make a masculine project with the Live Beautifully papers! Take a look!

What do you think? Pretty cool, eh! I had a Pennant Frame (retired) and made it up for one of my grandson's photos. Look what you can do when you use the papers without flowers! I used our Chalk Marker to make the road lines on the black and white stripe paper and that set the tone for the rest of the project! Take another look at the papers and see what you think. I bet you find even more uses for the projects floating in your head.

All products are Close To My Heart:
  • Pennant Frame (retired)
  • Racer Birthday stamp set
  • Live Beautifully paper pack
  • Exclusive Inks: Black, Sea Glass
  • Embellishments: Chalk Marker, Black & White Dots, Thin 3D Foam Tape
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too!

Are you inspired to create something and share? You don't have to have the papers to participate but you do need to use the colors seen in the paper. Details are in the post on our home page.

Have a great day!
Michelle

CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Embellishment Envy

Welcome to the Technique Blog Hop for May! Each month we feature a different technique for your paper crafting pleasure! This month we're featuring embellishments and the different ways to use them.

If you've come from the blog of Annemarie Julian you're on the right track. Just keep clicking the links in each post to continue on the hop.

I don't really have an "outside of the box" embellishment technique on this card, but I really love how it turned out overall and thought I'd share.

This is the stamp set from Live Beautifully, our May special. Stamping in black is kind of bold but the way it's embellished makes a big difference! I used the Gold Shimmer Brush to accent the petals of the flower mush as you'd do if you were painting with other colors. The gold is supposed to be mimicking the shadow part of the flower petals. I'd also included some Gold Glitter Gems and Gold Foil Tape to keep the theme going.

All products are Close To My Heart:
  • Live Beautifully stamp set
  • Live Beautifully Paper pack
  • Exclusive Inks: Black
  • Cardstock: White Daisy
  • White Cards and Envelopes Value pack
  • Embellishments: Gold Shimmer Pen, Gold Glimmer Gems, Gold Foil Tape, Thin 3D Foam Tape
If you need a consultant I'd be happy to help.
If you'd like to BE a consultant I can help with that, too.

Now it's time to over to the blog of Melissa Robinson for more inspiration!

Have a great day!
Michelle
