Spring Layout ~ Color Dare #437

The Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare has a fun challenge for you this week! For this challenge you need to use THREE colors, TWO neutrals and ONE metallic. You must follow that pattern to join the challenge.

You can make any paper craft you like. When you're ready to join the challenge use the link in the post on our home page.

I decided to make a layout for this challenge. I was inspired by one I saw online but can't find the artist's name. So if this looks like your design let me know so I can give you credit!

For my THREE colors I used blue, pink and green. My TWO neutrals are brown and grey. My ONE metallic is gold.

I started with white cardstock for the base and used papers from our Lovely and Wood Grain paper packs. It's hard to see in the photo but the two strips behind the photo mats are pink and the other withe with gold foil spots. I used the Daisy Meadow-Scrapbooking + Thin Cuts set for the images. All the images were colored with Shimmer Brushes. The title was inked in two colors then stamped. The final touch was to add some Gold Glitter Gems around the layout.

Color My Heart Challenge

Some of the flowers are popped up a bit with some thin foam tape. Others are just tucked in here and there. All the flower centers were painted with gold shimmer which doesn't show up very well in a photo.

The bow was made with a Thin Cut Die. While the glue is taking hold just use your reverse tweezer to hold it all in place until dry!

Close up of flowers show the shimmer. The photo doesn't do it justice! The gold gems add some sparkle, too!

Even the butterflies were colored with shimmer brushes!
