Dramatic Look Card ~ Color Dare #654

 Welcome to a new color challenge from our team at Color Dare. this color challenge could go in a lot of different directions. Bold and dramatic, soft and gentle or anything in between. It's all in how you use the colors we're challenging you with. As you can see, I went with the bold and dramatic look.

For the image I decided to black emboss then color with a pink marker. This was done on a white piece of die cut cardstock. The rest of the card front is done in Secret Sea. This is a new 2025-2027 In Color. I LOVE this color and find it very versatile. It can be used for a softer black but also has a blue tone to it that you can bring out with other colors in your project.  

To create texture and interest I embossed the larger layer with a new embossing folder to create the ridges. The next layer was embossed with another new folder creating the floral outline. I love the added look of these two folders. 

I was inspired by a card I saw online. When I went to look at the name I couldn't find it. If this was your card please reach out so I can give you credit.

For my + 1 color I used gems that have a blue and pink sparkle to them. These gems are so pretty! The blue tone of the CS is picked up with the gems as well as the pink of the flowers.

Some added fun was added to the inside of the card with that same floral embossing folder. It adds a nice touch don't you think? I'll add a sentiment once I've decided what occasion the card with be used for.

Embossed Christmas Card ~ Color Dare #570

 Well it's time for a new color challenge from our team at Color Dare! This one is easy....or is it? You decide! We're giving you 4 colors of which you must use at least 3. There are some fine print rules so check the graphic out.

I love these colors together and envisioned how pretty they would work for this embossing folder/stencil design. I love the softness of color with this card. What do you think?

First I embossed the background. Next came the stenciling. Just lay the stencil over the embossed images and use Blending Brushes to add the colors. Both the embossing folder and stencil can be used alone but adding them together gives an even greater dimension to your work.

Next I used the Thin Cut die from the stamp set to cut 2 of the large flowers. I stenciled lightly and edged with the Ballerina ink. I curled the petals and popped it up on Thin Foam Tape. A few sequins and some Glitter Paper added to the whole look.

Floral Notes Card ~ Color Dare #566

 Our Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare celebrates Friday by offering a new color challenge to inspire you! This week we have a 3 color challenge. You MUST use all 3 colors. See the graphic below for the fine print rules.

For my card I used a pattern from our NEW volume of Make It from Your Heart How-to Book. In this volume you get both layout and card patterns withy color samples with cutting and placement guides. It makes it SO easy!

For the floral image I use our NEW colored pencils which are so creamy and easy to use. I love them and will be using them in many of my projects. I also stamped an image behind the flowers from the Design Elements set seen below. Like I said....quick and easy!

Cute Panda Card ~ Color Dare #563

 

Are you ready for a new color challenge? Our Design Team at Color Dare is sharing a Tic Tac Toe challenge for you with this one. First, pick your colors by row, column or diagonal. After that you can use other colors in the grid if you like. What you can't do is add colors to the palette. See the graphic below for the fine print rules.

I used the right column of colors: Sapphire, Capri and Green Apple. Using scrap paper to mask off areas on the cardstock I used blending brushed to apply my colors. After that I stamped those cute little pandas, a sentiment and added some Black Dots.

Sweet Card ~ Color Dare #562

Happy Friday! It's happy because it's time for a new Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge! This challenge is all about 3 colors. Pink, Lavender and Yellow. Use 1, 2 or all 3 of those colors for your creation. See the graphic below for the fine print rules.

My card was inspired by a card made by Julie Carriere. I loved the use of two of our colors for the image.  It was very easy to make! I stamped the image then used a die to cut the rectangle. Nest up was coloring, some blending on the background, splattering and finally Liquid Pearls for the flower center.

Birthday in the Fall Card ~ Color Dare #561

 Welcome to a new color challenge from the Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare! This one is all about Tic Tac Toe! Pick your colors by row, column or diagonal. AFTER that you can use more of the colors in the grid if you like. What you can't do is add extra colors to the mix. See the graphic below for the fine print.

For my card I started with the first column of colors. Then I also used Scarlet, Honey Butter, Shortbread and Mocha.

The patterned paper is from our Cozy Up paper pack. The stamp set is from the Cozy Up Card Workshop Kit. I stamped leaves onto the pumpkins for some added fun. Some embellishments and a sentiment finished this super simple design.

Cute Card ~ Color Dare #532

 Well this is our last challenge for 2022. It's been a fun year and we look forward to a lot of fun challenges in 2023. 

For this challenge you need to use shades of Blue and Purple + one color of your choice. See the fine print in the graphic for more details. My colors are Sapphire, Wisteria + Green Apple. When you're ready click here to go directly to this challenge.

I've been in a mood for CAS style cards and this is another. I saw something similar online and was inspired to give it a spin. 

The card started with a base from our White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack. You really want to keep this item on hand! Cardstock used: White Daisy, Sapphire, Wisteria. Exclusive Inks: Intense Black, Sapphire, Green Apple. TriBlend Markers: shown in the photo.  Making these choices got me started on my card.

I used our Floral Slimline Embossing Folder (link is below). Even though I wasn't making a slimline card the folder still works! I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4". This left a bit of a border along the sides but I liked that look. 

After the card was all together I added some embellishments. The stamped layer is popped up on Thin Foam Tape. I used some Silver Thread and Sapphire Thread (both retired) and tacked it underneath the the stamped layer with a Glue Dot. Silver Pearls was used for the flowers. The fine tip Quicksilver Metallic Marker added some detail to the watering can. I also inked the edges of the stamped layer.
