Top Fold Card ~ Color Dare #496

 Friday means a new color challenge from our Design Team at Color My Heart Color Dare! Our challenges go live every Friday and run for two weeks. Be sure to check it out!

We reference Close To My Heart colors but you can use any brand you have as long as you can make a very close match. Kind of close doesn't count. Make any paper craft you like. When you're ready to join the challenge use the link in the post on our home page. 

The rules for this challenge are to use at least 3 of the color in the grid below PLUS one of the colors must be your base. Black, White and Gold are free to use.

I made a top fold card with my base being Desert Rose cardstock. I  gold embossed (Versamark pad, gold powder, heat tool) the image and used a water brush and reinkers to paint the flowers. I also painted the flowers with a Clear Shimmer Brush to give it a pretty sparkle.

To do the water color painting I used Reinkers (Desert Rose and Peach). All you have to do is put a drop or two on a My Acrylics Block and pick up the ink with a water brush. It's that easy!

Exclusive Inks Desert Rose were used to stamp the sentiments. Cardstock used was Desert Rose, Peach and White Daisy. The Specialty Paper used was Desert Rose Glitter Paper. The sentiment was popped up with some Thin 3D Foam Tape.

Here is a close-up of the flowers so you can see the shimmer. The photo doesn't really do it justice!
