Lily of the Valley Card

I just my Lily of the Valley Bundle and couldn't wait to play with it! The flowers are so pretty and have coordinating die cuts making it easy to create lovely florals. There are great messages, too!

In the same order I got the 5 New In Color Shimmer Brushes, too. Who couldn't help but combine the two for a project? Not me! Also, the May Product of the Month: Berry Botanicals Vellum as in the order so why not include that, too! Let's take a look.

By the way, we now offer a New and Exclusive product each month we call the Product of the Month. This month it's the pack of 12 sheets of Vellum! Other months have bern a full sized die, stamp set, DSP pack. It's always a surprise! It's only $5 with a qualifying purchase of $75. This is a great deal!

The floral Vellum sheets are beautiful but wanted to show off those New In Colors and Lily of the Valley flowers. The perfect way to go was with the green polka dots pattern.

The colors I wanted to use were the Peaceful Pine, Hydrangea Hue and Barely Blush. I stamped the images in our New Hybrid Black Ink and let it dry a few minutes before coloring, The flowers were colored with theNew Shimmer Brushes and layered on a die cut images from the bundle. Simple, right? The sentiment was stamped and fussy cut then mounted on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. A few of the New In color Dots and the front was done!

Here is a close up showing the pretty shimmer on the flowers. It really does add such a nice look!

The inside of the card is just as simple as the front. A sweet message and another flower. I had a strip of the vellum I added to ground the flower.

Have you colored with Shimmer Brushes? Wink of Stella is a nice way to add shimmer to something colored with markers. How about trying to use the shimmer brush as your main color option? I think it gives a great look to a project!

What's Up Wednesday ~ Berry Botanical Vellum

Have you seen the May Product of the Month yet?  It's a real WOW! Three sheets each of four beautiful patterns. Rich colors! It's really gorgeous! Let's take a look!

These are the patterns in the pack. I love every one of them! There is so much you can do with each one! How about some ideas? Ok, here we go!

Create a box or cover a ready made box. Make a belly band and secure it with a ribbon and tag.

Glue the vellum to white CS then die cut letters. Glue to a card base and embellish. You can even snip out sections around some of the letters for a unique look!

Die cut flowers and layer them to create a nice full flower. Add some leaves and embellish. Random stamp a card base to bring it all together!

How about a scrapbook page? Keep the base page simple with a tone on tone look then adding fussy cut flowers from the vellum around your photo. Lovely!

Here's a fun card to celebrate any occasion! Die cut some balloons. Layer the vellum on different colors of CS to create a fun background. Embellish!

Create a bouquet by fussy cutting flowers and leaves. Arrange them on the card base and embellish.

Those are just a few ideas for this amazing product! I bet you can come up with a lot more on your own! Want a pack of your own to create with? The Product of the Month is only $5 with a qualifying purchase of $75. Stock up on supplies and get your pack now. It's while supplies last or May 31st.....whichever happens first!

Flowers Fair Card ~ Color Dare #701

It's time for another color challenge from our team at Color Dare. Every Friday we give you a new palette of color to get you started on a project. For this challenge you must use at least TWO of the colors shown in our graphic. There are Free colors we let you use with the challenge colors. DO NOT add any colors beyond what is in our graphic.

Make any paper craft you like. When you're ready to join our challenge use the direct link below our graphic. Most of all, have fun!

My design ended up using all 3 colors plus Black and White. I love how bright it turned out!

Starting with the Product of the Month for April: Eyelet Blooms I created some pretty layers. The die cut layer for the flowers is actually a little peek at a new item coming in May! It's the Sweet Words & Labels Dies and I love all the different looks we'll be able to create with these dies!

HINT: to remove all the little pieces of card stock our Take Your Pick Tool with the Brush Tip work really well! Just run it back and forth on the back and the pieces will come out of the die! No poking involved. Also, the flat tip works great for placing gems.

The flowers are stamped in our NEW HYBRID Basic Black ink. Yes....another peek at a product coming May 5th! The Hybrid pad is going to give us versatility with being able to color with markers and watercolors! Just stamp, wait a bit for it to dry then color away!

I love this technique of coloring the flowers then adding color to the background. The colors for this challenge lended itself perfectly to this technique! The blue looks like sky surrounding the flowers. By the way, this is only a very small part of the image. The stamp is full size but you don't always need to use it all.

Once colored in I die cut and popped it up on dimensionals. I love how the red shows through the eyelet die cut!

How will you use our challenge colors? We can't wait to find out!

What's Up Wednesday ~ Mosaic Card

Welcome to What's Up Wednesday where I show you a tutorial about a project I made. Today is a version of the Mosaic Card design. Click here to see a Mosaic design I shared a while ago.

I wanted to to do something to switch up the design a bit. All it took was turning the card to a vertical presentation and Wow what an impact! Sometimes it the little things that make the biggest difference!

Blue is my favorite color so the Delicate Dreams DSP pack calls my name. I knew this pattern paper would make a really pretty look.

I needed a somewhat small image for the front. Our March Product of the Month: Notes of Spring was perfect. I hadn't used the little bunny yet so here it is!

The hexagon punch seen in the photo below gave me the shapes I wanted for the mosaic pattern. I played the two DSP sheets on top of each other and punched away. Work smarter, not harder! The card base is a top fold in Night of Navy card stock.

Next was picking the spot to punch on the card base.  I also punched in white CS for the image piece. The woodland animals in this set as so easy to work with. You get an outline image and a matching solid image for "coloring". Quick and easy!

To create the mosaic I started on the lower left of the punched spot. I lined up the shapes leaving a small space for the card base to show through. After that you keep going with the pattern of the shapes and alternating papers as you like. Trim off the overhang with scissors.

Here is the finished look! Isn't it pretty? I popped up the image layer on Dimensionals. That layer is stuck to the inside of the card taking the space of the punched area.  A few Dots were added for some sparkle and a guide to draw in your eyes to the bunny. I even have some punched shapes left to decorate the envelope!

Here is the inside of the card. As you can see, the stamped layer is on the inside of the card. I added some white CS for a personal note and used a few of the shapes along the bottom.

By the way, the clipboard shown in the photos is one of our Kits!!! You get a pack of 3 clipboards and they are great for displaying photos, artwork, and taking photos of projects like I did here.

What do you think of this vertical Mosaic design? I really love how it turned out!

What's Up Wednesday ~ Arrow Fold Card

Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing a Fun Fold pattern I just love to make....and....it's easy, too! It's called an Arrow Fold and with just a couple of quick measurements you have this amazing look!

I've used our March Product of the Month called Notes of Spring. It's an adorable stamp set with woodland animals. Bonus....each animal has its own solid image to quick color it! Of course you can use the outline and color by hand, too. Versatility is fun! With a qualifying order ($75) you can get this exclusive set for only $5! But it's only available during March!

Take a look at this fun inside view! I love how the card pattern looks on the inside. This truly is a fun fold card!

Ok on to the measurements! With a pencil, mark on the inside front of the card base. Measure across the bottom to 2-3/4" (center of card width). Next, measure up the side to 2-1/8". You do not need to draw the line. I just did that to make it easier to see what's happening. OK, SCORE from the side mark to the bottom mark on each side. Next SCORE from the upper corner to the bottom mark. That's it!

For the other layers use a piece of Design Paper  5" x 4" and white card stock 5" x 4". Mark at 2-1/2" on the long side. CUT from the bottom mark to the upper corner on both sides.

Creating the arrow fold: On the score line from the upper corner to the bottom FOLD to the inside. glue to the card front. On the score line from the 2-1/8" mark to the bottom FOLD to the outside. Glue to card front being careful to only out glue along the inside edge. Now do the same on the other side. Ta-da! You now have an arrow fold.

Use the other pieces to decorate as seen in the photos. For the front I added a layer with the cute fawn. I punched the white and green card stock. since they are the same size I cut the green in half and glued them together with the green showing a the top and bottom for a layered look. As you can see, I also used a few of the images on the inside, too.

I hope you enjoyed my Arrow Fold Card. Give it a try...even if you don't like measuring. It's easy once you give it a try. Have fun!
